Can i test the mixer before i purchase it?

Kest has a fully equipped test center where we perform customer tests. We also have the possibility to ship the equipment if you like to make a test on site.

I am not sure what mixer to purchase?

Kest and our partners are always here to help -we will help you to select and size your mixer.

Can you get Kest components in other alloys?

How are Kest mixers installed?

The tank plate is welded into the tank that you are going to use. To support this operation we have developed a welding tool to the tank plate along with a detailed welding guide line.

Note! Always use the welding tool and follow the welding guideline! 

The male bearing is installed on the tank plate and the mixing head is mounted on top of the male bearing. If you don’t reach to the tank plate we have tools that enables you to perform this operation from a hatch on top of the vessel.

The drive unit is installed from the out side and fasted with our Kest-Lock quick connection.

Note! Never attach or detach the mixing head while the drive unit is installed!

How are Kest mixers and components delivered?

Kest mixers and components are delivered in either cardboard boxes or wooden crates.

Each item is sealed in vacuum plastic bag, labelled with article code and packed in a box.

Each component is marked with ID No. or heat number for full traceability.

What is a normal delivery time for mixers?

The normal delivery time from order is:

Mixer tank plates and welding tools 2-4 weeks.

Mixing head, Male bearing and drive unit – 8 to 10 weeks.

Atex drive units – 10 to 12 weeks.

Product related - Couplings

Can i use the Kest-Lock to assemble two TriClamp (TC) ends?

No, the Kest-Lock system is built on that one end needs to be a Kest-Lock flange and the other a TriClamp (TC) end. The Kest-Lock flange is built to host the split rings.

The Kest-Lock Basic or Snapp split rings are then mounted on the flange.

Tube mounted flanges like the KLPF are welded on the pipe, normally with a orbital weld technology – there is no requirement to use a welding tool for this.

What is a normal delivery time for a Kest-Lock?

We aim to maintain a stock for most of our standard product range. If not in stock, we have several production chains available to find the best lead time possible.

Normal lead time for non stock items is 4 to 6 weeks depending on volume.

Terminology and technical terms

Tri Clamp (TC)

Tri Clamp (also known as Tri Clover) is a tubing connection system that allows making sanitary interconnections in stainless steel fluid transport systems. It is commonly found in the Pharma, food processing, dairy, wine, and beer brewing industries, where hygiene is critical and any space, crevice, thread, or gap which can harbor bacteria must be avoided. They are easy to assemble, disassemble, and clean.

TC is commonly used as an abbreviation for Tri Clamp.
